Samsung launches new external SSD
The X5 uses Thunderbolt 3 technology to deliver fast performance, while being housed in a durable case which features a metal frame, said Samsung.
This provides protection from drops up to two metres in height, added the company.
The X5 SSD offers read speeds of up to 2,800MB/s and a maximum write speed of 2,300MB/s – and is available in multiple sizes up to 2TB.
Samsung said the X5 comes with a 3-year limited warranty and will be available globally from 3 September 2018.
